Xatzé [ hat - say ]
“Xatzé, [ hat – say] a word that evokes mystery, was created in the capital of the western Mexican state of Jalisco, Guadalajara. The heart of the second-largest urban area in Mexico. Guadalajara served as the backdrop to the story of a group of friends who first coincided as children.”
Laughter, support, and creativity were at the core of the union of this group of common-minded individuals. They would spend their days creating alternative words for already exiting ones, utilizing fabricated onomatopoeia to convey a higher meaning.
Xatzé became the most recurring creation, which was bestowed later upon themselves as a code to refer to each other.
As time went on, each individual in the group evolved and matured. Yet, one thing remained unchanged, the fact that Xatzé had become the new interpretation of friendship, unity, and companionship.
